I'll sum up this past month or so with some pictures I managed to take with my trusty cellphone as life has been an American tourist speeding gleefully on the Autobahn.
Valentine's Day--I made the same dinner I made the year before; not original, but my family was pleased.

A couple of weeks ago, Alex was sitting at the breakfast table telling us he had his first loose tooth, and it popped right out when he pressed his tongue against it. I'm used to Jackson losing teeth, but this made Alex seem so much older and I wasn't quite ready for it. I'll likely be a wreck when Kenyon starts losing teeth.
Kenyon enjoys getting into the stash of prior Halloween costumes and fun outfits sent by their Uncle Nora. This one morning, he was wearing last fall's lion costume, with knight attire on top. And holding a bow. He'd win any battle, me thinks.
We went to the St. Patrick's Day Parade, which for some inexplicable reason, is the second-largest in the country. Denver isn't known for it's strong Irish heritage, but it's a really fun parade. We saw the usual; bagpipe bands, Irish dancing troupes, Irish setter and Irish wolfhound clubs, but Kenyon was most impressed with these guys and ran up to give each on of them a high-five:
Jackson is approaching his 8th birthday. Totally cliche, but it's unbelieveable to me that he is getting this big. Yesterday, I was a last-minute chaperone on his crew's field trip to the Plains Conservation Denver (they have been studying Plains Indians). Jackson was SO excited that I was going on the outing; he kept holding my hand and resting his head on me. I know I am only a short time away from, "Mom! YOU'RE going on the trip? Ugggghhhhhhh!" I savored every minute of his pride having me along. :)
I've got to get back to juggling, but I am promising myself to make some time to post more regularly.
